GRD 4350: Digital Media
A quick peek at the projects I missed during my Fall 2024 Graphic Design Through Digital Media class
"The Witness" End Credits Sequence

Illustration | Animation
My Role: Illustration and Animation
What I Used: After Effects
"The Witness" is an open-world puzzle-adventure game about discovering a new world and learning its patterns one puzzle at a time. The game makes the player witness their learning as they discover epiphany after epiphany through the mindfulness of the game's mechanics. I went with a more subdued and geometric approach with the animation to call back to the game's puzzle mechanics. I could not add enough ease and smoothness in time for the deadline, so there are a couple of inconsistencies in speed here and there. Though I did not complete everything I wanted, I am proud of the motion I accomplished, and I hope you do as well!
A-Z: Abstracted
Animating a famous pangram to the tune of "In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg
Motion Design | photography
What I Did: Photography and Animation
What I Used: After Effects
To make my A-Z video more unique, I decided first to spell out the famous pangram, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog," and then spell out the alphabet. I chose "In the Hall of the Mountain King" by composer Grieg because I felt like the building tension would add a dark ambiance to the gradual abstraction of the letters. All of the photos are drawn or photographed by me and vary in location from right outside the GSU Art Building to Prague, Czech Republic, and in my favorite books.
Mythological Creature
Creating and puppeteering a devilish, kimchi-ramen-eating monstrosity
Character Design | Illustration | Animation
My Role: Illustration and Animation
What I Used: Illustrator and After Effects
Though still super rough, I wanted to incorporate the old ramen character that was created for my Atlanta Fermentation Festival animation and transform her into a noodle-y ramen monster! My puppeteering is rudimentary, but I had fun villainizing her!
